CDA was created in 1991 with two key objectives, to challenge a stagnated industry and provide better products for consumers. In an industry dominated by major corporate businesses this was a demanding task. But by focusing on always doing what we said we would do, on time every time, we very quickly established a solid reputation for commitment and reliability. That philosophy was instilled on day one and lives on today.

Our product development focuses on three key principles: style, performance and innovation. The underlying ethos of the company has always been to push engineering boundaries; the first automatic multi spark gas hobs, for example, were developed by CDA in 1998 and have gone on to be an industry standard today. We create products that are not just stylish and well manufactured but also realistically priced. In 2005 we were recognised and awarded the prestigious manufacturers’ Award for Design, Innovation and Functionality.

After quietly developing a reputation for excellent products, In 2004 CDA moved into a new 9 acre Head Office facility in Nottinghamshire; a state of the art testing laboratory was the main attraction in the building which also houses warehousing, customer care and the national fleet of engineers. Continued success led to CDA becoming one of the 10 biggest appliance manufacturers in 2011 and they continue to be the fastest growing white goods brand in the UK.

With over 300,000 products sold every year there are literally millions of CDA appliances in people’s homes throughout the UK. Advertising and promotions are limited and instead profits are re-invested into research and development in order to continuously produce better products for our customers.
