The Bertazzoni family founded its first factory in 1909, and the company grew in the 1920s as their wood-burning stove cookers, under the La Germania brand, received accolades for excellence. Bertazzoni is rich in heritage. Napoleone, the grandson of Francesco, developed a novel mass production technique while employed at Fiat. When Bertazzoni started manufacturing its first gas stoves in the 1950s, the company's prospects were drastically changed since they provided instantaneous, clean energy.
